That first gate is where I got attacked by a badger years ago. This country is in my back yard. I was up there last weekend. I suspect you're from the Idaho Falls area as well. I'm in Ucon.

Thanks for watching, yes I’m in Ammon. Badgers can be pretty aggressive for sure. That’s crazy!

Honestly as long as you change your oil on or before the date you should never have a problem it really doesn't matter if it's synthetic or not if you ask me.. My last car asked for full synthetic I never put it in once and I got over 300000 miles and it still ran fine when I got rid of it. Like I said the most important thing is just changing your oil on the regular.

You’re probably Right. Frequently changes are more important

I use the synthetic in mine also. The thing I don't understand though is why is the oil change interval is the same as with the regular oil. In a vehicle you don't have to change as often if using the synthetic. Maybe you can, they just don't mention it so they can sell more oil.

I would think we should get more miles out of the full synthetic too. I guess it’s still worth it though if it prolongs the engine life.

FYI - I've got close to 6000 miles on my Grizzly and 3000 on my Maverick Trail, both on the original belts with no issues whatsoever. For whatever reason, the CVTs on these machines don't blow belts like snowmobiles do.

Good to know, thanks for sharing your experience. What motor does your Maverick have?

Just subscribed. Great videos and your dad looks amazing. I live in East Idaho, just retired, and want to get into the ATV world now that I actually have some free time. Any advice you can offer a “newbie?” Thanks.

No problem, I can just do my best here in the comment section. I think the first thing to figure out would be to figure out what type of riding you will be doing? Do you plan to carry a passenger? Is performance or reliability more important to you?

@@aaronkelley7448 leaning towards Can Am Outlander 850 because my wife wants to come sometimes so it seems like a good machine for 2 up
@aaronkelley74482 жыл бұрын
Agreed, that would be a great machine for 2 up and they’ve got tons of power. When you’re not riding two up there’s plenty of room to haul gear and the longer wheelbase makes for a very stable ride. Even the 650 has lots of power and might not get quite as hot during slow technical stretches. The 650 twin is more powerful than my 750 at right about 62 horsepower while the KQ is just under 50. In my mind the 650 deserves a look too. Might not be as hard on the belt as the 850 either but don’t know for sure. I’ve heard that the XT packages they offer are well worth the extra money throughout the outlander lineup. My opinion is that if you plan to buy it here somewhere in East Idaho I would talk with Ken at Rexburg Motorsports. I usually buy from Action in IF, but they don’t carry the Can Am. Ken has been there forever and has been helpful to me.
