Trail Running In The Peak District - Kinder Scout and Kinder Downfall Circular

Deep in the heart of the England's Peak District lies Kinder Scout, a moorland plateau and National Nature Reserve in the Dark Peak region.
Having never visited the Peak District before, I decided to go online and search for some popular trails. I quickly came across the Kinder Scout and Kinder Downfall circular route on the All Trails website. The reviews were good, consistently over time, so I loaded it into my watch for navigation and gave it a run. Here's how I got on. Enjoy!

Fantastic stuff mate. That terrain up there is so crazy and varied. I think i recognised the odd bit from my recent run out there. The wet, windy weather just made it even more mad. I need to put my video together soon, so I'm taking some inspiration from this one 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks Mark. It really is difficult, isn't it? I had the route loaded into my watch and I had the All Trails app as a back up, but I did struggle at times to find my way especially with the wind and the rain. Hope you enjoyed the run yourself, and I'm looking forwards to seeing it when it's out!

Thank you! I had to drive four hours from the south of England to get there, as we're not very lucky with mountains/challenging trails down here. Not sure where your based, but hopefully there's some good trails nearby :)

Cheers Glen. My cousins live in Australia, and it does look fairly flat where they live and train. I'm running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday, and I'm going to run the Thames Path 100 miler in May. I've been injured for a long time unfortunately. I'll try my best performance wise, but I'll just be happy to finish if anything. Hope your doing well!

Lovely place that not far from us. For walking in our case not running 😂 The site of a famous mass trespass in the 1930s in order to gain public access to open land.
