Trail Tech fan on 2006 WR450F

Brief overview of installation of Trail Tech universal fan kit on my 2006 WR450F.

Did you have problems with the fan eating up your battery? I like the idea of it staying ib after you turn off your bike but with a battery that small its gotta kill it pretty quickly.

No problem yet and hopefully never will. I just wanted the option on bypassing that feature if I wanted to. The fan will come on once, twice sometimes three times after I have stopped depending on how hot it was then I stopped. Second and third time it kicks on, it's only for about 20 seconds.

@@marklander9177 I just put mine on today. I also have a tusk dual sport lighting kit and trail tech vapor. I haven't had the chance to run the bike with the added fan. I'm worried it might be too much power for the bike and that I may not be able to use the electric start everytime. Are you still able to use electric start everytime?

@@winru2 Only rode the bike once since fan installation and it worked perfectly. Now that it's crazy hot where I live, I won't be riding much till September. I was able to use electric starter every time with out a problem. Let me know how you're situation works out.

Nice. I have a 05 wr450f. Do you have a boyeson water pump? I have one on mine, it helps the flow of water and keeps the bike cooler

I do not but if the OEM pump ever gives out, I'll replace it with a Boyeson for sure.

@@marklander9177 nice. Yeah one of my seals gave out over time so I ended up rebuilding it and adding the super cooler water pump. Great reliable bike though 👍
