How do you plan to control the transmission with the new set up? I'm currently doing the same and I'm stuck

The pcm controls the trans going with a stand alone harness for a 5.3 with 4l80e friend setting it up so everything works with the truck I'll make a video when hes done and I install it.

What's the difference between a 5.3 from a suburban

I see the oil pan on the ss has a the same whole there oil pan will that make any difference

If going from a 4.2 to 5.3 oil pan wont work. From what i see you need the c6 pan or the retro fit fbody pan. It switches from front sump to rear sump. Then you have to flip the cross member to make it work.

You cannot buy online its discontinued. You have to find a TB with the 5.3 parting out or if you are lucky at a junkyard that has one. I found mine in St Petersburg, FL this weekend.

Actually a very impressive motor if you have the funds id say itd be pretty cool to turbo one.
