I have 2006 Mule 610 4x4. I bought it new for around $6,700. It's been a great machine. I haul some huge loads of firewood up pretty steep hills, & it just keeps chugging along. I have 72 acres of woods, & my trails don't allow access with a pickup truck. I would be lost without my Mule. If it was stolen today, I would buy another one tomorrow.

These things are made for work. Finding one used that is still decent and isn't like a million dollars is being in the right place at just the right time. That's the only way. I lucked upon a 2007 Mule 600 w 250 hours on it 5 years ago...same story guy was moving, couldn't take it with him. Bought it for 3200 in 2014. 5 years later, it is still flawless. Still looks almost like the new ones today so I figure I have another 8 to 10 years with it before I even consider getting rid of it. I thought I would miss 4x4 but the locking diff gets me everywhere I need to go on my 50 acre farm.

I found a ‘12 for 1400.00. 610, 4wd. It was a rental at a power plant and was hardly off road, but it was neglected to be sure. I went through the whole thing, added 12x26 tires and wheels and a 2” lift. More ground clearance was a great addition. It is a mule, it’s a work horse. I use it for everything and that little torquey 400cc motor just chugs along. It’s great for hunting, or just riding in the woods when it’s not doing chores. I love mine.

They are great for lawn work, with the flip bed makes it great for emptying. Great on gas. We use are all the time. Very dependable. And roomy. The front compartment good for a cooler.. pull the chock turn the key and it starts everytime. Keep it.

I just found an 02' that's been in a barn for the last 4 years. I am not what you'd call the mechanical sort. What advice can you give me? The older lady said that there is no battery in it and it needs tires. I'm heading next week to pick it up. It look identical to yours except has a hard top and wind screen.

bare minimum i would consider siphoning all the old rotten gas out of the tank and cleaning the carb if it doesnt want to start right up for you. give it an oil change and see if she fires up. if it still wont start i would compression test the engine to see if it needs a rebuild. old worn out engines will have little or no compression.

I have one near identical to yours, it is a lifesaver for an old man on 3 acres of wooded property. I noticed in the video that it appears your 'trunk' latch has been removed or disconnected as has mine...no amount of lubrication and elbow grease made it work and turns out it isn't all that necessary unless you roll the Mule, in which case you likely have bigger issues. Mine also has a nice Warn winch on the front which has also proven its worth moving logs and rocks. I paid about $2K for mine as well but, with a hardtop roof and some additional lighting I added I wouldn't sell it for less than $5k.

i thought the latch worked on this one? i forget because we had another of the 4 seater "trans" mule type and it definitely had the latches. we actually did sell it both of then. turns out you can actually buy a brand new one for 6-7k depending if you want the fuel injection style and i think we may soon.

that's what I was thinking. slide some plywood under it so the rounds dont poke a hole in my new metal roofing then slice off rounds. its hanging by a thread though so its going to be exciting haha
