There is a hose beside your header that runs to the air box ,its an air assist to the exhaust needed for the stock exhaust to eliminate unburned fuel. I installed a dual full exhaust on my 700r (with a PCV) but didn't notice much difference with power. So, I installed a 734cc piston and a stage 2 cam and an auto tuner. Now it is faster but the biggest thing I noticed is what the cam is providing, low and mid range power. As I shift from first, second and third gears, the ATV wants to pop a wheelie. That's the most noticeable boost from stock.

Mister Trailblogger. Which exhaust you liked most. HMF or the Alba? Will be putting the Alba on mine when I get the flange this week.
@trailblogger4 жыл бұрын
Man I love the Alba but it is much louder. I'm positive the Alba is more free flowing but it is also extremely loud. I don't mind a loud pipe but if you have restrictions in your area or are limited by neighbors on private property the HMF is a nice choice with the silencer inserts / db killers they come with from the factory. The spark arrestor is also separate on the Alba, which is required. Here. Love the pipe though and Nates ECU tune is amazing for a canned, no dyno tune.
@trailblogger4 жыл бұрын
Are you going to be using an FCI intake? I think Nate mentioned he could write a tune for the FCI of someone lived nearby.

@@trailblogger No. Think I'm going to stay with the no lid. I'll give Nate a call tomorrow to talk to him about that. See what he says. Hey Mr. Trail blogger, I have a question... it’s necessary instal a optimizer? Or can I just install the motorcycle exhaust?
@trailblogger4 жыл бұрын
Best to use a programmer or ECU flash. In most cases the engine will run lean and hot from lack of fuel if you do an intake and exhaust mod. The engine needs the extra fuel to go with the increase air flow to operate safely. This is similar to adding larger Jets on a carburetor which is common when going to a more free flowing exhaust and intake system.

@trailblogger5 жыл бұрын
Depends on the other exhaust. Most pipes need more fuel added than stock to keep it from running lean. It's always better to error on the rich side ( too much fuel ) than lean ( not enough fuel ). A lean bike will run hot and blow up, rich bike with usually just pop and backfire, run poorly.
