A Study by the Performing Arts Department of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, as part of the exhibition project “Vertigo of Reality” (17.9. - 14.12.2014)
"The profession is such a fulfilling and an uplifting one, and it also compensates for many things, in a dangerous way, by creating the kind of intensity that you can only really experience to this extent during the first two weeks of newly-found love." (Ulrich Matthes)
The realities negotiated by actors on the theatre stages of today are illustrated by the ‘Acting Methods’ video conversations with actors including Sepp Bierbichler, Edith Clever, Maren Eggert, Jens Harzer, Fabian Hinrichs, Sandra Hüller, Signa Köstler, Ulrich Matthes, Joachim Meyerhoff and Wiebke Puls - which will be shown as part of the exhibition and released as a parallel DVD edition.
