It's his hair that's pissing me off. The Crow needs long hair - either the 80s goth-inspired teased up mullet from the comics or tne shoulder length hair Brandon Lee had - But some kind of longer black hair. Eric Draven was supposed to have been a rock musician in life, and he should look like it.

I agree. The new hair is an adjustment. Some details like his hair I definitely think should have continued on in this remake. Honestly, now that you mention it if he had an 80's mullet maybe his look would be more cohesive. (Thanks for your comment btw! And stopping by)

@@creepybeanie Yeah, you'd especially think they'd keep that mullet look for the remake when you consider the fact that mullets have actually made a bit of a return fashion-wise in recent years!! ...Which as an older millenial, I definitely never saw coming lol- Mullets had become pretty much synonymous with "rednecks" and "trailer trash", you know? But now all the sudden you see all these zoomer KZbin and Tiktok stars with mullets. Mustaches too lol

I remember seeing the original The Crow and it was shot in Detroit and it was done brilliantly Eric Draven was the best character in Horror movies. The black and white was incredible. And all the bizarre characters were spot on. The villains were just amazing. The love story between Eric & Wendy was beautiful. And they captured the dark and dirty atmosphere of nighttime Detroit perfectly which i had a special fondness for because I use to frequent some of those places their were alot of underground clubs that looked just like those places. So The Crow is one of my Favorite Movies of all time. But I love Bill Sarsgaard so I'm still excited to see it. I just wish they would of kept to the Black & White and the Grunge atmosphere as well as the Grunge look of Eric Dravin.

Thanks for commenting! :) Yeah, when I watched the trailer, I immediately was thinking "Ugh I wish it was dark and grungy." It doesn't look like it'll carry that aesthetic. I'm rooting for Bill so hoping he captures The Crow.

@bethpent8851 it was not actually filmed in Detroit, it was filmed in North Carolina. It's set in a fictionalized Detroit.

The Crow did not need a remake. And making Eric and Shelly junkies misses the mark Hard pass.

No one asked for a reboot of that movie. making this movie is a lack of hollywood and its writers not having an imagination to come up with something original that they have to messup on a perfectly well-done movie like the original crow which brandon lee give his life on doing. This adaptation is a sorry excuse of making a quick buck. I wouldn't see it even if it was free. it made me appreciate more the original.

Thanks for the comment! I think it’s pretty common for Hollywood to do remakes of movies especially if it’s an old film. Like 10, 20 even 30 years old. With the development of production in films being so advanced now I think it allows producers/directors to create more. There’s also a lot of original films continuously being made. Horror has plummeted in my opinion but there are some original movies that are great. I respectfully disagree with the argument of Hollywood not making any original films at all and are just making remakes. This adaptation will not be as iconic as the original crow, but I do believe there will be some potential there. Whether it be cinematography, costume designs, effects etc. But I definitely understand your point of view and reasoning for skipping the film.
