I've read it. It's spot on, and because it's not spoken in the way The Silmarillion was written, I think more people are able to enjoy the story more. I absolutely loved The Silmarillion and to have it come to life like this is a dream for me.

The Battle of the Powers (War of the Powers or War of the Gods) is a cataclysmic war between the Valars and Melkor and his forces. This conflict arose for the sake of the Elves who have awoken at the start of the First Age. The discovery of the Elves and their dangerous situation close to Melkor have roused up the Valars to take arms in order to protect them. This devastating battle have reshaped the world once more although the northern region was heavily affected since it's where the war took place. The Elves have no idea what have happened but they came to fear the Valars for a time since they heard nothing but roars of explosions and immense lights all over the north. They refused to go to Valinor before Oromë made a deal of letting three ambassadors see the blessed realm. The three return to their people and convinced them about it. Thus the Great Journey began. Though not all Elves departed as some remained in Middle-earth, never seeing the Undying Land and the Two Trees. Melkor have come to hate and resent the Elves after his defeat at the Battle of the Powers. Knowing this war arose for the Elves protection against him. Since then, Melkor burning hate culminated at the later thousands of years. Resulting the tragic tales of Feanor and his sons and the elven kingdoms of Beleriand completely wipeout from existence.
