The podcasts are not scripted at all. They have a list of stuff from the internet they found interesting beforehand. They let their own personalities bleed into their characters just enough so they can talk off the top of their heads from 30 to 50 minutes (back then, now just 30 minutes). And the stuff they have improvised on here have found its way into the show and the Animated throughout the years too. So they are more fully fleshed out characters for it now.
