Thanks John. WhT a great message. I try to keep it as raw as I can. And make it seem like the viewer is along for the ride with me. The videos should stay timeless doing them that way. All these channels with the music. They won’t be very enjoyable to watch in the future as the music will be completely out of date.

jnadin39 it’s well worth a visit if your up there. It’s not a long ride, time wise and mileage. So could be fitted in with the trail centre

great video :) we were just up whinlatter yesterday, thought about doing it but seemed to be a lot of walkers. We had done the borrowdale bash on the monday so thought well just stick to the trail centre for now, but will defo give this a go.

Fair play mate, that looked like a cracking day out. That hike a bike reminds me of the slog up the Dollywagon onto Helvellyn. Will have to give this one a go this year.

Excellent video , love those views. Ive photographed Nutcracker events in Whinlatter and recognise some of the places where I chose to use to get good shots. Its not going to be a ride Im going to do though Lol. Im not doing any hike an ebike! Love the videos especially the Swaledale ones as I live there and ride most of them.

Hi mate I used to do lodes of wild rides just like you when I started 20 years ago then trail centres opened I will have to get back out in the wilderness best type of riding in my opinion keep up the good work 👍🚵‍♂️🚵‍♂️🚵‍♂️

That’s a great decent and I’ve done it a couple of times and it’s a nice mix of hike a bike and trail centre The other great decent is Ullock Pike from the summit of Skidaw just up the road 👍

You will love it mate. And Sunday is not a bad day weather wise. Temp about 14c so you shouldn’t over heat on the climb up. Enjoy.

I might do this ride tomorrow but am still knackered from the hike-a-bike yesterday up the pass in Boredale (so thank for the .gpx). Doesn't look as bad as that descent as it looks possible to wheel it a fair bit; I'm just not strong enough to lift my e MTB over my head onto my shoulders, so have to resort to wheeling or short, sharp lifts

Nice vid, quite windy and steep! Next time you're up there you should try out the "Borrowdale Bash", it's supposed to be one of the best trails in the Lakes, it's very close to this and basically goes around Derwent Water

Another cracking video. Beautiful light and great shadows there. Do you ever get hassle from walkers on the erm... less "official" trails? I feel the mountains have enough space for a bit of rule flexing (especially when it's deserted), but I'f be interested to know what you find.

Luckily. Where I started to hike a bike that’s where the public footpath starts. So technically I was walking and not riding 😂. I’m not usually naughty and go near footpaths. Once up top and heading towards hobcarton. That is not a footpath on the map. I also did this ride midweek. And only saw 2 people

It’s a very good angle. Especially when I watch other KZbin vids. Mine just look different for some reason. Maybe cos I’m a very tall rider. And a lot of people aim to far down to try and get more handlebar in.

you can virtually see the whole route from anywhere on the ride. I had my Garmin with me. but it wasn't on the sat nav screen and I did it fine without getting lost. go for it mate

I would have thought so. I try not to go anywhere near the lakes on the weekends. If weekends are the only times you can ride then I’d tackle this early. The video didn’t do the views justice. It was amazing

Hi mate, Have you always ridden clipless? I've just bought a pair and debating putting my flats back on until I get some more time under my belt. Should I just get stuck in or wait for my basic skills to develop?

Daft Biker hi mate. I’m a flat pedal rider. And stayed on flats for around 3 years before switching to clipless. Don’t think I’ll ever go back to flats now. Love been clipped in. Ifs up to you. What ever you feel comfortable riding with

natmil1 hard to explain. But it’s the fork that’s making that noise. When the brake is on the fork is kind of vibrating through the brakes. cos all my weight is on it

percypongoable brilliant. It’s the hubs I chose that make them. Chris king. Amazing. Reason I ended up choosing the sixth elements is the fact that the logos are part of the carbon build up. And not a sticker.

I haven't ridden the Lake District yet, what are the rules on MTB on footpaths, the map doesn't show these as bridleways or permitted routes? Are there any permissions needed? I don't want to get it wrong and damage the reputation of MTBers with miserable ramblers. Nice vid!

Trail-Finder Grizedale fire roads are about my limit, however planning to be a bit more adventurous this year
