Following a head damaging cycle crash over nine years ago I have barely been out on the bike, road or mountain, in all that time. I used to do that route from Edale via Jaggers and Hagg Farm. Your video has re-inspired me to get some bike legs working. Starting on the bottom rung again, I've just done three miles off road, my hip flexors ache and my arse is on fire. Six miles in the coming week. then build in some hills. I want to do that route in spring 2021. Thanks for the video.

Nice one Ron. Pleased to hear your back out on the bike. You will be glad you got back into it when a little bike fitness comes back. Just small steps to start so it doesn’t put you off. Keep me informed on how your getting on

We did this as part of The Kinder Loop a few years back (maybe one for a future video?) We did it in the Howden to Langsett direction. The descent into Langsett is amazing, just goes on forever. I wouldn't fancy it in the other direction though, that climb out of Howden is brutally steep and technical. I don't have the cahoonas for that one! Great vid.

Thanks Ian. I’d love to get back to cut gate and do it differently to the route I did in this video. Think I missed out on some good sections.

Just come back from doing it today, I would definitely recommend doing this if you fancy a challenge. I did it on my E bike crafty rr and I just managed to get back to the van with 1% battery life. I think the hardest part about it is that long gravel track on the way back when you’re absolutely knackered 😂 it went on forever. I didn’t realise how big these reservoirs are ffs and how many.

Uploaded this route to my gps and completed it in September and loved it thanks for the find. Stair drop at the end was a little scary 😅 bailed a couple of times on it but I got down it in one piece 😂 Keep up the good work 👌

Did the dark peaks cut gate special yesterday and it beat the crap out of me. Ended up pushing/shouldering a lot of the climbs. I have no idea how you manage that speed and rollover on that run.
@TrailFinder5 жыл бұрын
Usable distinction it’s brutal isn’t it 😅. But good on you mate for doing it. It’s a very hard ride. Well done. What here the conditions like at the top? It’s usually a bog.
@Monkey_slapping_keys5 жыл бұрын
@@TrailFinder The whole trail was pretty dry but boggy in some spots, rode a bit and shouldered over some. Struggled to keep any flow though and had an OTB in a stupid spot so impressed with your run.

Niceee mate, you were tramming at 6:30 i loved that bit. Looks like you had it fairly wet, was it a bit if a graft?
@TrailFinder5 жыл бұрын
taius20 yeah it’s a good section is that. Only graft was at the very top on that bog section. But all in all I only had to get off the bike and push for about 20 mitres. Love the tech on cut gate

Try starting at Langsett Barn car park instead! For me/my associates, you started in the middle 😉 langsett barn means the long descent is the end of the ride on a high 👍 Crackind vids btw, best most realistic footage Ive seen to date, and good editing too.
