Hey Brad & Son, just wanted to say what a great job your doing. I recently lost my father and this episode really hit home! You never know, what you put out in life, how it will effect someone else. I’m sure you know these moments together is what it’s all about. Even if it’s just tinkering in the garage. Keep on trucken. 🤙🏼

Brad ... the binding of the transfer case and or transmission is due to not only being unable to disconnect sway .. but the hi low shifting is from the linkage being attached to the body they make a body to transfer case mount .. hope that helps

Great video Brad! My son and grandson and I were up at the Horse Springs camp ground the weekend before the fourth of July. With the exception of the pesky nats, it was a great time. I own a 2005 Jeep TJ (Limited "willy's"), and a 1960's MBT Willy's Jeep trailer that I am building as a Adventure trailer, with a CVT RTT. I have done Heart Break Ridge before at the Big Bear Forest Fest (2012 or 2013. It was a great time. Happy Trails! Bruce

You may not have an issue with the diconnects. I had the same issue and had to adjust the length of one of my sway bar links. I think my sway bar is slightly bent and was putting uneven pressure on them, which didn't allow them to work properly. When you pull them off measure the length between the sway bar and the connection and see if both sides are even.

Hey Brad. I have a cabin in Johnson valley 3 miles east of the bottom of rattlesnake canyon. So I think you turned left off Burns and headed towards rattlesnake. I may be wrong. But, if you do take that road versa springs or something like that. Just about 1/2 mile before turning left and cruising down the Joshua trees. There is a small dirt road that head to the upper part of rattlesnake wash. Over there you will find an old mine really nice place to camp. Look on Google Earth up the wash at the top of rattlesnake you'll see it. You can also link over to new Dixie Mine road from there. Look for the sharp switchback once on Dixie Mine. There are tons of camp spots. Well where you find trees that is.

Hey, i lifted mine with a 4in from old man emu, adjustable arms with 35s. It took me a long time to figure out the right lengths of arms to not get geometry vibration and finally opted to change both drive shafts since then it rides nice. At around 80 mph i start getting some harmonic vibrations so i keep it under that.

Zeffar 80mph with 35s that’s awesome! Do you still have those measurements. I just ordered a four inch lift and control arms, all coming within the next two weeks. I would be more than happy if I could get 80mph on a four inch lift

@@quisttopics8441 Will measure for you on tomorrow on daylight. But really it is a experience to do it for yourself. I used calculators and online tools that give you approximate measurements then had to install/desinstall a few times for those half turn adjustments. The good thing is now i know how to pull my axle in 30 mins from repetition. Please save yourself the pain and buy double adjustable and not single like my cheap ass.

Any tips from anyone else with a soft top are greatly appreciated!
