Una pena que la mayoria de los mortales que corremos en montaña NO podamos ir a esta carrera. El sorteo es injusto, así como el proceso de selección, ya que al sacar tan pocas plazas(por otro lado lo entiendo, en tanto al mantenimiento del medio natural) provocan un auténtico embudo. Los que ya la han corrido tienen preferencia ante los nuevos y la élite también ya que se les envita ( Ya esten bien preparados o no). El ambiente es FENOMENAL y UNICO pero creo que se esta haciendo mal al no ceñir más el cupo de repetidores y élite....Una opinión de uno que se quedó fuera el año pasado.Saludos

why are they allowed to use those stupid poles? This is supposed to be running and in fact the best runners aren't using any pole

This is just not true. For example Luis Alberto and Xavier Thévenard placing 2nd and 1st at UTMB 2015 are using poles quite often. Now weather to use poles or not ... there are sooo many articels out there comparing the pros and cons you might have with poles. In the end it boilds down on how the terrain looks like and personal preference. But to just say all good runners are using or not using poles is stupid.

I'm not talking about the advantages or not of using poles, I'm not interested at all at debating that, everybody can choose to do whatever he/she likes on that respect. But, it's just my opinion that, in a running competition you're supposed to be running, with the use of your legs only, and pole use should not be permitted ...
