All the hate on Osbourne and the Ironbloods was misplaced. Osbourne has been fighting that damn thing ever since that day 14 years ago. His plans of conquests and to spread conflict over the continent was to draw out Ishmelga's physical form so it could be destroyed for good. Osbourne played the long game, making himself appear the villain of this tale, just so he could gather all the necessary pieces to end Ishmelga's curse: Ouroboros are his pawns, Black Workshop the his rooks, the Ironbloods the bishops, his queen being the Sword of the End (Millum), and the key piece on his board is his knight (Rean).

Everything he did was in the name of what can be described as the biggest all or nothing gambit I've seen in a story. And he pulled it off. Even in death he won.

Class VII has got to me one of my favorite casts of any game. It was a joy getting to know these optimistic softies and watch them grow through out the years. I'll miss them but if they taught us anything is to keep moving forward relentlessly.

This was the perfect dungeon and the perfect ending. Back in CS2 and 3, every boss battle we had with every enemy here, we actually didn't defeat any of them. But here, we saw Zephyr fall down, Arianrhod on her knees, Ironbloods also fell down. Well except for McBurn xD. They were truly "defeated" and that proves that Class VII grew so much. They concluded the saga very nicely, all the buildup and emotions are there. The miracles of the Sept-Terrion, All Divine Knights are there, Valimar's goodbye, and the breaking dawn on the horizon. Only thing that got me hanging is that we didn't actually fully see what happened to everyone afterwards. And I wanted to see Trista one last time but I guess that was wishful thinking. Still an amazing game. I can't wait fot Hajimari's western release.

@@supra3989 The main heroes are Rean, Lloyd and one other guy we don't know about hahaha. Apparently this game has the largest playable characters but the main heroes are those three. It's like an Epilogue to Cold Steel 4. There is currently no western release date, but fans are expecting an announcement sometime this year. Nothing guaranteed though.

Hello C and Pradeep There is recently confirmed a western release of "Hajimari no Kiseki" on 2023 as "Trails into Reverie". There is even confirmed for a western release of "Zero no Kiseki" and "Ao no Kiseki" as "Trails from Zero" and "Trails to Azure", "Trails from Zero" will be release to the west on 2022 and "Trails to Azure" on 2023. And even the spin-off "Nayuta no Kiseki" will be released to the west on 2023 as "The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails". For so far as known now, all four of them will be released to the west for PS4, Switch and PC.

im so happy i randomly bought trails in the sky fc on sale in the steam store on september 2021 who wouldve thought it would take me this far and i also waited almost 2 years for trails from zero and azure to get subbed officially in order to play cold steel 3 and 4 and man im glad i waited also props to every trails fans who went through this journey together and ofc there is more to go :))) (typing this while crying btw)

Come think of it the kiseki series is incredibly layered. On the surface this is a story about groups of brave people rejecting absolute power granted by the goddess, in favour of a world built on humanity and bonds. (Estelle rejecting the ability of creation with aurelos and the opportunity to create the perfect humans, Lloyd refusing to let KiA re-write history to protect SSS, Rean rejecting the almighty power in favour of strengh through bonds). On the other hand every septerrion was corrupted by humanity (aurelos simply fulfilled human wishes, Demuguros was tainted by human greed, and the strife of man literally warped two septerrion into the personification of war). Was the goddess maleficent in giving human such power, or was she maleficent in giving human the potential for corruption? Or is evil simply a universal state of entropy which can't be stopped?

I started my trails journey with Cold Steel 1 and seeing this ending got me so emotional, going to miss Rean and Class VII man what a journey it's been, but it's time for them to finally leave the spotlight and move on to begin a new adventure with the calvardian cast in kuro no kiseki after Hajimari comes out in the west of course

Darn. Endings like this always makes me cry ;). But I wouldn't have believed that they didn't punish Claire and Lechter. And that Cedric would join the Ouroboros. Well, the last moment Rean had with his father was beautiful and the scenes from the wedding were nice :).

Cold steel 3 started with bright, free and spirited atmosphere but end up with dark, sad, and cruel ending. Cold steel 4 starts with something dark, sad, and cruel but ends up with bright, cheerful, and happy ending

Started this Series 2 years ago and Finally i am on Reverie, I'm not ready to say goodbye to these Characters I fell in love with. This series got me through a very difficult time in my life having lost my girlfriend and feeling at my lowest this series was there to lift me up. What an epic story and conclusion to one of gaming's greatest story telling in my opinion. Now on To Reverie... Where One trail ends, Another Begins. Thank you Falcom!

I hope I still live to see the day that Prince Cedric will be a main protagonist of his own Trails Series, given his Ouroboros training and huge affiliation with Erebonia. I don't know but it feels fitting. I can't see him as an antagonist.

To get the true ending, i need to get all the lost art and defeat the holy beast, then defeat osborne, see normal ending, and then repeat before osborne, and? Defeat again and fight ishmelga? Please help 😥😥

Get all Lost Arts and do all finale quests to fight the Holy Beast. Watch normal ending, save and then load that same file and then you can choose to "Tread the Path to the Unknown" which is the true ending route. You can choose to fight Osborne & Ishmelga again if you want but it's not required.

Alternativly, dont get them all, beat osborne, then reload the save and get back to before the final boss. You then get an option to see the quest for the true end, after which you need to refight Osborne to get the true end.

Spoiler alert. I'm curious. What if you defeated Osbourne and Ishmelga and got to the normal ending WITHOUT battling the Holy Beast Argres before entering Empyreal Fortress? What will happen? Will it force you to return outside the final dungeon?

It doesn’t force you. It’s basically a case of wether or not you did the requirements before entering the dungeon. If you did, the game prompts you to do the holy beast side mission and the true ending plays out. If you don’t, then you just get the normal ending

Not gonna lie, i both love and hate how they did the true ending in this game... I love it how they let you see both the neutral AND the good ending in one playthrough, but i also find it weird that they didn't just integrate the true ending into the story somehow... By the time you unlock what you need to get the true, you know it's coming, so the fact that you have to sit through credits and even reload a save to start playing towards the true ending is such a weird choice!

No. No. No. The evil people and the people who did something horrible aren't supposed to get a good ending. They are supposed to die! Ash shot the emperor. He should of got torn apart as soon as this happened. Crow started a Civil War that killed hundreds of people! And what's up with all that talking and goofing around...these guy's you are fighting are evil just take them down already. We don't need to know why the evil people did what they did. We just need to dish out some Justice to these scum. These are heroes the world are better without. They don't Finnish off the threats to the world. They just let them walk away. The idiot's talk and joke around when their is a war going on. People are dying. They waste time with stupid speeches when people are dying. Also no one important dies and stay dead so there's no struggle or stakes. This game has to many cringe moments. The final boss was a joke. He didn't kill a single member of class 7. He was just an idiot who waited in one place for hours to be defeated. This is not a good game. I'm done with the trails series here. I'm glad I am finally done with this so I can move on to better game's.

wow what a comment, so you don't want to look at things with a more open mind ? someone has to die just because he did bad things in the past ? Should Renne Joshua or even Randy dies because they did bad stuff ? Ash or Crow clearly having reasons for doing things ? You realize they were using Ash as a tools to attack Calvard, like how they used Hamel in the past to achieve their goal. and if you think we don't need to know the reasons as to why people do evil things you clearly are looking at things with a hypocritical and selfish mindset and are bound to repeat the same things that others would, this series in the end is about understanding hope and fighting together depsite the adversities it showed how forcing things and doing things alone wouldn't work and how it would lead to even more destruction (Crow,Rean Arianrhod or even Osborne are prime example of that). wanting to see death in the final battle woudl've been so anticlimatic and against the themes of the game it would've ruined everything that this series was going for.
