I had an audrino board set up to auto-reset for this so I could do other things, but I still had to pay attention to it, because the program would reset the game regardless if it was shiny. Eventually saw it when playing around of Smite, so I unplugged it, finished my game, and began the hunt. After a few bad Ultra Balls, I threw one Luxury Ball, and caught it immediately. I am very happy to have my Gold Kirby.

I've only finished 1 hunt in BDSP which was for Dialga, and it took me about 450 hours and around 14000 resets over like 8 months.

Not trying to be nasty, but arceus does 60 resets a hr. So 6000 in 100hrs and 18000 in 300hrs. And arceus takes the longest because of the cutscene walking up to it and stuff. U do 65, 70 resets a hr for dialga/palkia.

Shiny hunting legendaries is satisfying but I didn't know it could be this frustrating too. I've only started shiny hunting legendaries and ultra beasts recently so I haven't experienced the five stages of shiny hunting grief yet. For context, by recent I mean I only have 2 so far, a shiny Ho-oh from usum with 550 resets and a shiny Cresselia from swsh while trying to find a Lugia in the dynamax adventures den (I encountered her on my seventh trip in, so she stole ALL of my luck...)

The only shiny Arceus you could get prior to this was a Gen 6 event from the Pokémon Movie 15, any shiny Arceus' before (and even after until now) this weren't legal. The lead you saw probably got an illegal one through before bank's/home's detection systems became as intelligent as it is now. There could be more opportunities in the future to catch a shiny one though so I'd probably wait rather than play through BDSP again, LOL.

theres a wifi exploit you can use to get an azure flute in pokemon dpp, get the arceus from that event shiny and I believe you can use a save file editor to put it directly into bank and bypassing any legitimacy checks and from there I believe it will go into home without any problems

This shiny hunt took me 12 hours everyday for 7 days INCLUDING my old tries that I gave up on. I’m guessing I did around 6000-8000 or 8k-10k. I’m happy to say I did get it. (PS I didn’t have a masterball and my only Pokémon that was helping me was a heal pulse Latias)

I think if you get the event arceus into pokemon bank, and then use pkhex on lets say x or y, and then make the arceus shiny, it can transfer to home. I think i saw a video on this exact thing years ago, where someone caught the arceus in platinum with the flute event edited in, and couldn’t transfer because it was shiny. They made it non-shiny, transferred, and then made it shiny with pkhex in gen 7 and it was able to be sent to home i think.

Eh, the idea would be to edit it within the power of the game, and ACE hasn't been discovered for anything past gen 4. It does seem that would work though, since it seems transporter has stronger checks than bank or home

using the japanese version of ORAS, and using pksm for event injectors and shiny value editors, you can get a legit shiny arceus that even pkhex cant see is hacked.

As someone who has hunted this shiny before it sucks the 1 minute resets hurts. My encounter was a little over a thousand but over about a year so I never was burnt out of the shiny hunt but definitely didn’t have fun with it. bdsp sucks for shiny hunting legends because of the loading time. I did had to use a master ball as well because I got super unlucky with the catch rate.

The thing that bugs me with the hunt which I'm currently doing is id set up my team in S/V with moves that the pokemon I want to use , learn in BDSP. Move them over via pokemon home, and BDSP would change the moveset and id have to make it learn the moves in BDSP. Anyways couple hundred resets deep so far but I'm in for the long haul

This hunt was painful for me, it took me around 400 Hours to do, about 5x over odds by my calculations. Basically 2 sets of 200 because I burnt myself out pretty hard the first time around. I nearly failed it too (It was struggling, and a random Shiny Weezing took my Master Ball earlier in the Year). Congrats on the catch though.

I hunted my arceus recentl. I used the digital version, and it's 69 seconds on average a reset. I had the shiny charm and everything bringing the odds down to about 1 in 1365. It was 2am and on the 2116th reset it popped up, and my jaw hit the floor, when I saw the sparkle I got shivers. Then it was time to catch. As a joke, I threw a repeat ball as a joke and it caught, not the ideal ball but who knows, I might be the only person with a legit shiny arceus in a repeat ball
