You got freaking nerves of steel man I would never have the balls to attempt that lucky I walked on the remnants of the track in the Bronx back in the 90s for the New York and Westchester line that became the number 5 I don't even know if those still there anymore by 180th Street

I remember the Culver Line (BMT) before it became part of the IND, presently the "F" train. And I remember the Culver Shuttle (SS) after the realignment took place. I'll say one thing: You must have nerves of steel to walk on the bare span girder work of that el structure. I mean REALLY. I literally got dizzy just looking at you walk to the edge of that structure.

Sadly I was born too late to ride the culver shuttle, even too late to witness its demolition. I do get somewhat nervous, but hopefully the footage is worth the effort🤞

The video is awesome. Walked the structure when I worked for TA. Rode the Shuttle everyday to and from work.

We cleaned all of the old fiber walk off of those girders. Walking up there is cool
Unfortunately, I never got to ride the Culver Shuttle. I do remember them tearing down the Culver Shuttle. Still, a very good video 📹 👌 👍 👏 🙌

No negative judgement, I may not have done it, but as a self proclaimed Train Nut, I loved it-

Back on May 1984 I went to Culver shuttle and trespassed by walking up the stairs to the 13th Ave station. I shot roll of film and took a selfie (of course the term was not invented yet).

@Train Cam: While I strongly condemn this "stunt," I really admire your courageous and ruthless character here. I have to give credit where it's due. I am not sure why this video only has 4k views - would have expected this video to go viral and have at least 10 million by now. Quick question: did you ever get approached / reprimanded by the cops / MTA officials for doing this? I would reckon that at least one witness who watched you from the street below called 911 to report a potential suicide in progress.

Traincam lacks adrenaline. Combined with his supreme balance, and well-aligned feet, he does what to us normal folk is the impossible. In fact, he does this dare-devilry to actually INDUCE some adrenaline. In other words, these thrill-seekers are adrenaline-challenged. I am in awe of your utter lack of fear. Yet, I fear that the downside of adrenaline-rush seekers like Traincam migjt succumb to lack of impulse control, thereby at higher risk of physical injuries, gambling, addiction, violence and sociopathic behaviors, to which have been highly correlated with a lack of adrenaline.

It's nowhere near safe to pull this feat off lest one works for MTA NYC Transit.
