I've never watched a video of a train derailment being cleaned up and didn't tink it would be interesting. But it was! Thanks for taking the time to post it.

It's always interesting to see the cleanup and repair afer a derailment, the bulk head flat almost took the center beam over to,do they know if it was a switch, wheel,axle or what caused it yet, I've filmed two derailment cleanups before on NS one in Wytheville VA and one minor one in Roanoke VA!🛤🚂

Despite such a rigid bottom frame, its interesting how the centerbeam car still flexes with the weight it's carrying.

Anyone know if 2 Upright Center Beam Cars were the last two (2) Cars at the End of the Train or did they also Remove the Rear Section of Train behind Derailment ?
@OfficialLiveTrains Жыл бұрын
They removed the rear section when the camera was looking the other way

Years ago I lived a block away from a train crossing. A tanker truck full if diesel fuel had its brakes lock up on the crossing. And Amtrak train drove through it. Luckily it stayed on the tracks and except some smoke inhalation. No one was hurt. A couple hours later another Amtrak train went by on the adjacent track. You should have seen the people on that train looking at the other one.

Too much butter on the rails. At least it didn’t happen at a busy traffic public crossing gate
@geoffreysmommy Жыл бұрын
Not only that. Luckily it didn't happen on the bridge and the cars fall into the Mississippi River. That's where the train was heading.

interesting, kind of looked like engineer/conductor/brakeman foul up. too much power applied, probably too much brakes in the back half still, with string of empties up front and heavy load behind, all through a bunch of switches, crossovers and curves. I cannot think of anything that could possibly go wrong.... too bad there wasn't footage of the actual derailment start and in-cab sensor recordings. maybe they should add cockpit recorders? 🤣🤣 I can hear them all crying already.
