Train DERAILMENT in Elkton - Brookings Area Rail Activity August 2023

RCPE has a rough few weeks there with 4 derailments, the Elkton one being the deadliest and the 4th one. 3 of the 4 were caused by vehicles either running into the side of trains or not yielding.

Any Word What Caused The Derailment

Apparently, somebody ran into the side of the train with their car as it was going by. Since both who were in the car died in the crash, it is unclear as to why this happened.
