I love this train from Bergen to Voss. I have done the trip several times and always stood over for some days at the superb Fleischer's Hotel in Voss before going back to Bergen. What an adventure and what a wonderful time I had! I love Norway and would live there.

Thank you! It's so beautiful that I don't find words. The gloomy beauty and power of nature in these cliffs and sleeping waterfalls, this whole atmosphere excites and fascinates me. I think if I could choose where to live the next life, I would only choose Norway. At any time of the year, she's amazing...

Hello HCG, my brother worked on track electronics from Jackson, MS to Chicago,IL, USA for many years (now retired). The stories he told. I just found these vids a few days ago, and I am spellbound ! I always wanted to get a ride in a train engine , but my brother could not make it happen with management. BUT now I can drive the train EVERY day, Thanks To You !! I set these to "fullscreen" and "loop", and fall asleep in a "sleeper car" in my living room, forrested with 10 Christmas trees, nearly every nite !! I particularly like the snow scenes, where snow has completely covered the tracks ! I also love the walk-arounds, the history, and the track signal explanations. I am there ! THANK YOU !!

Wow! I liked that you moved one train up to the station and then drove another at the beginning. What an spectacular journey for a local. Ours here in Brisbane Australia are totally boring by comparison. I really liked the long tunnel and then out into the bright city lights at the end. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Cheers

Oooo! *Thank You* for the little tour of the cabin and control spaces! My father used to "chase" trains just to watch them as they worked; I would tag-along and enjoy learning about our railroads here in the southeast United States. When I was even younger, I witnessed the waning years of the Skaneateles Short Line railroad in Skaneateles, New York -- Father built a scale model of it in its prime in the days of stream (I would watch him do this for hours - I was his little assistant!). Such memories!! :-)

Another super video! A viewer of your videos can tell that you really love your job. You show it. You make videos. You use captions to indicate the stations, and different aspects of your job (type of locomotive, what signals and signs mean, and answer questions willingly). As mentioned before, I really love your videos! They can be watched over and over without getting boring. I do have a question: At 1:11:30 there is a track that branches off to the right. Where does that go? It doesn't get used much given the rust of the rail. Thanks so much for another great video!!!
@RailCowGirl6 жыл бұрын
Hey Swarf :D The track you see that goes to the right is the old line around the mountain to Garnes and Arna. the old line is today a heritage line with steam train that runs every Sunday during summer. Before Arnanipa and Ulriken tunnel opened the line swirled around both mountains Garnes - Arna - Haukeland - Bergen. You can find more information about the heritage line here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Voss_Line

I love the walkarounds. However, the jump cuts with the brightly colored flashes are rather disconcerting, especially when viewing in full screen mode. Are you able to do just a simple fade from one shot to the next? (Yes, I know, "make your own video if you don't like it!")

When stopped at the tunnel exit at 54:00 with a red flashing signal, I'm guessing waiting for the track switches to be reset to the main line ahead at Vaksdal Station ?
@RailCowGirl6 жыл бұрын
Traffic controller forgot that we would meet a delays train at Trengereid instead of Vaksdal :) so the system was still “waiting” for the east bound to arrive at Vaksdal :)
