Question for everyone: Would you rather see the entire train in my videos or keep the videos short?

Honestly, just keep it how you like it.

I'd like to see the entire train. I watch these as a diversion while I work at home. I like the variation of times and the scenery. It's a lazy day out in beautiful country where things take whatever time they need. It would not be the same if each train was a 1 or 2 minute clip. Thanks for your videos. I enjoy the great quality.

The entire train, that's what we have the scroll tab and a mouse for.

The whole train but you edit them so freakin' awesome so it's hard not to appreciate the almost perfect transitions. It's your gig; you're the cameraman so do what pleases you. The only suggestion I'd humbly throw out on the table is to get an onboard mic with a deadcat or 'wind screen' to cut down on the wind noise - But that's not even a big deal. Just keep filming. We love your work!

And to top it off on the east slope of the pass there's the old highway 66 that's within earshot of BNSF's tracks all across California, all across Arizona and all across New Mexico.

Good video. Just FYI a super charger is belt driven. Turbo chargers are exhaust driven.

a blown turbo charger is bad those things can cause fires. looks like this train is bad order and will be headed to Barstow to get the engines replaced

Love the first train with all the tank cars. The s now on the mountains was out of this world too. What kind of damage did a fire like that do to the engine of the train? Thanks for all the tank cars. thanks for a an outstanding video. Watched it on side screen; it was like watching a movie.

Not for much more time, already we see less and less tankers, thanks to "TRUMP"

Turbo charger not a supercharger. As for repairs could be as simple as a new turbo charger or could be as much as a replacement prime mover. I agree with a comment below - the entire train is always good to see as with DPU's if entrained.
@Greatdome992 жыл бұрын
A turbocharger is powered by exhaust gases. A supercharger is shaft driven by the engine. The presence of an exhaust fire doesn't necessarily mean a blown turbo--the large amt of flames seen here indicate a fuel leak into the exhaust system rather than turbo oil on fire which would be black smoke.

There are many ways to cut the wind noise. I'd have watched the entire video except for the terrible wind noise.

Philippe Durand If by any chance you ever go up there keep your eyes open because there are real snakes up there the poisonous kind rattlesnakes I was that hill 582 a while ago and a 5+ foot long slithered out from the shrubs I never heard it I was lucky turned around and saw it in time Needless to say I got out of there it never even made a rattling noise it was so quiet
