Platform 0's is to do with the signalling as well. If you reorganise the station platforms then you have edit the signalling elsewhere along the track.

Platforms 1 & 2 are there permanently and cannot change. This is because platform 1 is used for the "up" line (the line towards London or a major city) and platform 2 is for the "down" line (the line away from London or a major city)

Ahh, so in most cases Platform 1 and 2 can't be swapped or moved around? So you have to work around that?

Re : the old 393s. When they were used on the LGX to Leeds run, always tried to make sure I caught one from Doncaster to Leeds

The Class 334 juniper has a normal volume door opening buzzer, but a very quiet door closing buzzer. Surely the doors closing are much more important than the doors opening?

You'd think, right? AFAIK the Javelin's buzzer is super loud for both opening and closing doors - at least it's consistent!
