Brilliant video mate, found it really informative and interesting! One small note - the Driver’s Reminder Appliance (DRA) should be used when the train is not in motion, with signal displaying a danger aspect at the end of the platform, or if you have passed a cautionary aspect on the approach to a station (or stopping point) thus reminding you that the next signal is displaying a danger aspect. The Train Interlock System (TIS) prevents you from applying power when you have the doors open, no need to set the DRA :)

Thank You for the information, I will make a updated video on British Rail Signaling/Realism when Dovetail decides to release another Network Rail Route.

Hey, does the Chasing Yellow apply both to a double-yellow or only to the single-yellow signal? From what I understood you brake (1 bar pressure) after the double-yellow in order to pass the single-yellow at 40mph, right? Also do you know anything about what braking settings is mostly used? From the manual I got that I should not use the 3 bar setting in normal operation, use the 2 position to slow down and then go on the 1 setting when I'm at slow speed to completely stop. Also, can I ask you what are your sources? Not that I don't trust your info but it's quite hard for me to find any kind of documentation a part from the signaling stuff.

Chasing Yellow mostly applies to the Single Yellow, be ready for it at the sight of a Double Yellow. I haven’t seen anything about not using 3 Bar brake operation, however I do know not to use the 4th bar as that activates the Emergency Brakes (A mistake I make at the end of this video.) My main sources are Google, Dovetails Manuals, and THIS video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIC0fWR3oLCij8k

"[When approaching a caution mainline signal] All trains should be braking once this signal is in sight. If your speed is such that you are unlikely to stop before the next signal, increase your braking effort to 29 PSI (2 Bar) to further reduce your speed. The aim is to reduce your speed to around 25 mph well in advance of the Stop signal ahead. " -ECW Manual, page 19 I guess your way of doing things make much more sense I'll try to find some more official documentation, but honestly the 40mph things makes much more sense

I was going off of what I could find. I try to make my tutorials as easy as possible for viewers to follow along. I try to explain it the best I can while keeping it simple. Some things might not be said/Some things might be forgotten.

@@MysticZeenozyes I know, I was not trying to critique your video, just wanted to figure out how things really work, I hate that it's so hard to find any official documentation, it's so frustrating when for flight simming you almost have the real documents at hand

Yes, that is why I make these vids. Because there isn’t too many documents explaining this. If only Dovetail can actually add the Docs in-game.
