NYNH has cab signals that look like grates that go on the track, you could use these instead of an underground signal.

+cActUsjUiCe The Acela Express works with NEC and NYNH signals, so it should work.

+Anthony Pecoraro I don't think you understand. Certain signal aspects that are crucial to this line are not programmed in those NYNH signals. I can't use them.

Where can you find the resources which show speed limits, gradient, and signal locations? I'm having trouble finding information like that for a route I'm building between Roanoke and Lynchburg, any help at all would be great

Hey, sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you. So this information is considered "confidential" by Amtrak but you can find versions of the employee timetable online (not necessarily the latest). I know that the 2010 Amtrak Employee Timetable can be found online. Signal locations can be found in track charts which are also considered "confidential" by respective agencies. Best of luck finding it. Your best shot is to make friends with people who have connections with people who work in the industry.

After about an hour of searching around, I found NS timetables from 2008 for the area I need. Thanks for guiding me in the general direction!
