WHO could give this a thumbs down!? This is just amazing. I grew up near RR tracks and where winters were often bittery cold and snow blanketed the countryside for days or weeks at a time. Trains to me are something special and so is this painting.

I tried mixing each black available. Each shade, each name. I mixed with the white. Not one produced this color. I tried the darker blue shades and there it was.

I enjoy your work, but you do seem to be a little too liberal with the amount of paint that you apply, when a more desired effect can be achieved by using less and then applying additional paint, if needed. Also, the smoke plume should have leaned towards the right, given that it would trail behind/away from the forward motion of the train itself, in the direction from which it had travelled. Your placement would defy physics and is an immediately discernable odd optic. Speaking of odd optics - where are the cross planks of the train tracks? That looks more like a train on an ice-covered road, as opposed to tracks. Perhaps you should put a little more thought into your efforts. Better luck in your future endeavors.
