Blessed and Pleasant November Gentlemen's Day, Uncle! You sure find great places to watch the trains upfront, close and in the face. I like the way you were busy listening to the clickety-clack sounds of the wheels hitting the rails and I trying to read the numbers on the railcars. Those wheels sounded like the ones I heard on the New York City subway cars when I was a child. When I was in the library, I would hear the subway trains switch tracks and the wheels would squeal as the train moved slowly to and from the terminal. You and the rail fans really have all the fun in the world! You will not be too old to enjoy life.💯

That intermodal pulling 174 cars with a single engine was impressive. As for all the spilled grain; the railroads don't care. They only care about profit so maintenance has been cut back to a bare minimum. Its disgusting. The railroads could be employing thousands more in order to keep the cars clean and maintained but they wouldn't make as much money. Anyway thanks for another great video.
@RailRide14 күн бұрын
The vast majority of the cars involved are owned by non-railroad entities. If the last letter of the reporting marks (the four-letter code next to or under the car number) is an "X", it's not a railroad that owns the car.

It is kind of odd seeing a green light for NS to cross the diamonds with a CSX train in the way LOl
@BraedynKelley14 күн бұрын
@@JawToothCSX controls the Muncie diamond, so its dispatcher will always give priority to their trains over NS, unlike diamonds in places like Rochelle, Illinois, which is set up as first-come-first-served. In your video, even though the eastbound signal on NS east of Walnut showed Approach Diverging (yellow-over-green), the signal on the west side of Walnut St. (New Castle District) governing eastbound movements on NS across the diamond is controlled by the CSX dispatcher and was showing red-over-red. On the back (east) side of the NS signal east of Walnut St. is another set of signals controlled by CSX that govern southbound NS movements over the diamond. For NS to be able to cross the diamond, both the NS signal and the CSX-controlled interlocking signal must show an aspect other than red-over-red.

The opening scene on that curve always looks like a Spur track due to the close proximity of the buildings. The 1st train most likely the frequent visitor for Ingredion in Tennessee using the old AE Staely cars while the second train chasing it was from ADM. @12:03 the graffiti looked a bit like Chessie in the middle of the car and Tom Cat on the right side disguised in a raincoat. Both lines keep pumping them through town and certainly explains the influx of railfan visitors It certainly is a pleasure to just see regular ads again even if it's a recipe for Trader Joe's for something I'll never cook
