And dont forget that Anime has its own japanese. They speak like no one would in real life and make up new words. Learning japanese with Anime is a bad idea, because you lay a wrong foundation.

God bless you, this is perfect. I understood the majority of it without subtitles and was able to add what I didn't know to my vocabulary! Also yes, I love persimmons. My husband gives me imported Japanese ones for Christmas sometimes, but in the US we also have tiny wild ones that we can pick in the woods in late fall. とてもあいしい.

I liked your video! For the content and the landscape. In my country, ginger is only known because of Chinese food, and it is used to accompany tea and sometimes as an essence in cookies and Christmas cakes. Regarding persimmons (I was surprised that we pronounce it the same way "caqui"), we also consume them in fall and winter, and when they are ripe, they have an orange color. I love them for that sweet and astringent mix. Today, I learned new words in Japanese and English Arigatoo Gozaimasu!

Videos like these are the best for language acquisition. To help beginners, you should consider adding pictures to help supplement the visual context for more ambiguous words. For example, when you're talking about "生姜" or "秋", the imagery of the video doesn't suggest the word, so it's difficult to deduce unless you use the subtitles later.

Amazing video and so helpful for me, with a mix of new and known vocabulary! One small suggestion is to get a microphone to attach to your shirt to make it easier to hear your voice if you turn away from the camera. But I suppose it is also good to practice situations where you can't quite hear every word in a sentence! Arigatou gozaimasu!

Seems my understanding is pretty on par with where it should be, I understood 85% of the first part without struggle. There was a bit that I really had to think on, and only select phrases I didn't understand, but could get contextually.
