My dog wants to bolt out the car door. I have to wrestle with her as I try to get out of the car myself. She won’t sit and stay like she does for the front door of my house. I’m afraid she will one day slip out of my grasp and run in front on a moving car. What can I do about it.

the best thing you can do is to keep practicing and train it little by little.

I bought a harness with a back and front D ring , I have a seat belt that clips on to the back and a lead with a seat belt attachment for the front , un attach front first , then back , while also saying stay , though I've started training my dog to get in and out and stay with treats, I have the seat belts for extra peace of mind/safety and the fact when we get to a destination my big boys really excited . Starting to love going out in the car with him now ❤
