Such a calm mini, good start. Looks promising. You might want to make a part with two rings, (loop & rings), to run the lines through that can attach to a surcingle.

These are fantastic videos! I have a very overweight mini donkey and I’ve often thought about teaching him to drive. Well, that of course depends on how it goes! I love this homemade training harness. I don’t have to spend any money and I can see if he’ll tolerate the process. He’s incredibly sweet and so smart, and also a bit reactive, so I’ll need to take it slowly with each step. I love the videos on line driving first, and getting those commands in place. He may hate it and be totally unsuitable, and I realize training a donkey is different than training a horse. But we need to find things to do together and he really needs exercise! I’m hoping he grows to look forward to doing this together. He just lost his long-time buddy (to old age) so now it’s even more important. This will give me a much needed start! So thanks for taking the time to make these videos!

Hi. how long do you leave him with them tethers on him? is it wrong to make a little pony like him work, why not just let him roam around outside where he would be free.

It’s perfectly ok to work a mini. As long as you don’t over work your mini it will be ok

It's not healthy for any horse to just sit in a pasture unless it's unsafe for them to do anything else. And horses have been domesticated for thousands of years. They would likely die if i just let my pony or my other animals go.
