One of my favorite factoids is that when glycogen stores are depleted exhaustively they take much longer to fill back up than when they depleted only partially. Tldr: fuel well always or else

What's with the click bait title? You never answered the question of "what supplements". Down vote for sure.

That supplements topic was useless, straight up nothing

Can someone please tell me if I missed something from the 40-minute supplement section, or did they actually NEVER say the name of any supplement that would be worth taking for endurance athletes besides "carbs and caffeine". Like seriously come on the click bait and useless information was crazy and not something I would except from the trainer road podcast.

Thanks for saving me from skimming through! Hardly ever anything useful coming out of these way too long podcast episodes

Supplements are generally a waste of money. $3 per gel is money thrown away. It’s just sugar with maltodextrin. 50/50 split. Some salt, mag, potassium in qty same as the big brands and you have yourself next to free gels. Get gel bladders to put it in.

Usually love the podcast, but was very discouraged by the supplement discussion. He definitely evaded the question and never told us which supplements have evidence and then evaded by saying something about it depending on the athlete…

Creatine loading phases has been debunked for a long time now. Daily intake over a consistent time period is all that’s necessary. Although the creatine in bang energy drinks was a sham also. Modified to be liquid soluble which canceled out its efficacy.

Haha, Keegan always looks so uninterested in these appearances. “I’m just here so I don’t get fined” vibes. Can’t blame him.

100% , and the fact they treat him in every single podcast like he his living Jesus 🙏 , makes it awkward.. another noticiable thing is how the "dimples girl" gets really nervous when podcasting with the useless moustache dude aka CEO. Hahaha😅

Can you lose weight (fat) ideally and fuel for performance at the same time? This is something I’ve been trying to juggle for the last few years and have struggled with. Started riding again in 2019 at 315 pounds and I’m down to 238 at the moment but I’ve been living at a 65% of my natural ability because I’m trying to lose weight and race when the race season comes around. Currently a cat 3. Sounds like I need to eat more. 😅

Why not talk about the data in metric units? It's so confusing when your saying "liters" and "pounds" in the same calculation.

More from Keegan, we don’t have access to great athletes so it seems like a waste to not hear more from him.

Is this clickbait? So, carbs and caffeine? Expected much more.

It's them just saying Keegan does up to 40hrs a week during some blocks.... So absolutely useless information

Hi, me and my partner are riding the Andorra Epic we also did it last year and 2months ago we did the 4Islands in Croatia. We found a small issue were my friends heartrate won't go all the way up(max 150a155) but he's giving his max power. What could be the reason for this. I think he still has potential to go harder cardiowise according to his heartrate but his poweroutput is maybe not big enough? Is powertraining (long reps low weights) going to help him? Thank you 😊.
