Your seat is your most important aid - it is how we ride our horses with "invisible" aids. It's not hard to teach your horse to respond to your seat. You just need to be diligent. 🙂

Hi Josie!! I just wanted to say thanks for making all your videos, particularly your ‘green’ horse videos.. I have a project pony that my daughter and I are working on and we are total ‘beginners’ when it comes to a green horse 🙈 all our horses have all been ready to ride 😂 I stumbled across your channel when googling what to do when starting a horse and what’s next 🙈 I think audio/ podcast versions of your videos to listen to while riding would be a fantastic training tool as I’ve been out of the saddle for some time when I do ride and when I was regularly riding I put one EarPod in with some low volume music however today I put on your ‘teaching a green horse what reins are’ video and worked through what you talked about and we had a really good ride!! Thank you and keep them coming!! 🎉

Thank you. During my warm-up with walk-trot transitions I tend to throw a couple of halts in there too, just to see if he's listening. 9x out of 10 the first few are quite dull. Thank you so much for the reminders on seat aids. ALWAYS good to warm up with those!

Thanks Carly 🙂. I had trouble getting these concepts and I remember being frustrated that I couldn't find anything to help me. That's what drives me to help others "get it".

Thank you, i haven’t been on my horse in a while. It’s been windy. But I am going to watch a video a couple times then go out and practice it, my riding instructor seems to have lost interest plus she is expensive so I appreciate your efforts!

Another video that is specific enough for me to know what I may do… my old trainer says my body remembers this stuff, but my brain doesn’t so your video is going to let me notice my body. Before it felt like dumb luck. I went 40 years not riding. I’m 82 now.
