This should be shown to everyone that is considering choosing to own the Belgian malinois. These are not the dogs for most people. (Including those in this video) This could have ended badly in so many ways. Just because the dogs can do something, doesn’t mean you should allow them to do it. There’s been dogs that have become paralyzed from landing wrong from heights far lower than this was. Dogs are awesome! Please remember that it is YOUR responsibility to keep your dog safe and healthy.

Idk imagine you were about to jump, you’ve got the trajectory planned out in your head, you’re ready to land and recover on the ground, and right before you make contact with the earth somebody jumps in front of you and tries to intercept you. It could be dangerous for both sides and two animals could get injuries instead of probably none. I get where you’re coming from though, if it were my dog up that high i probably would’ve panicked and tried to catch them 😂

My home and yard have been slowly morphing into a fortress because every time I figure out how he escaped and find a way to block it, he’s found another way out. I’m on the curved barbed wire along the tops of my fences level now and I hope this helps. Love that he loves you guys and that you keep him active and happy. However… maybe catch him from heights that far from the ground. He can take it now… but imagine the effects it’ll have when he’s advanced in age. Other than that you guys are badass‼️

I had a yellow lab , named Morris . Every time we went somewhere where there was a high chain link fence , she'd climb up it by her toes , and walk all the way around that yard for fun . My freind had a black lab . I use to frame structural steel building by welding , and be sitting on beams high in the air . The dog would follow me up the ladders , and sit behind me all day . shed come down the high ladders head first , it amazed me .

My dog is scared of a lot of things cause of his previous owners. Slowly working him out of bad habits, spent 3k on a month long training session and it’s helped a lot. But I’d never let him do something I know he can’t handle. Catch your dog from heights like that

@@ShieldMaiden452 I don’t get why you get so worked up about people pointing out how sloppy this training is. Yeah, the dog is probably fine, but hopefully they don’t keep doing that? There’s clearly something wrong here. I couldn’t stop thinking about broken nails or torn pads then he goes wham into the ground head first. A malinois is impulsive, not impervious. They die jumping off of things all the time.

This man is not being sensible. He is encouraging his dog to do things that are senselessly dangerous and will ultimately result in the dog's musculoskeletal health being harmed. What a shame for this beautiful dog.

it's interesting that a lot of people are talking about how the owner wasn't willing to catch the dog and how the dog could have gotten hurt by coming down the way that they did but nobody is going to point out that if the dog had accidentally slipped for whatever reason and the leash or collar had caught on one of the metal fence links, what the hell would that owner have done at that point if the dog was sitting there choking 20 ft in the air? that owner wasn't climbing that fence to go and save their dog. if you want to let your dog go up there and do this, then just take the leash off and let them go up there so that the leash doesn't get caught on something. preferably the collar as well but I understand if you want to at least leave that on.
