People have asked me how to train for the Camino de Santiago . Sometimes they simply ask: should I train for the Camino de Santiago ? Or, for that matter, how long do I need to train for the Camino.
Fitness levels, age and the length of the Camino all make a difference. So I've put together this video covering my experience of training. It includes a basic training plan, when to introduce your gear, using poles , avoiding blisters and more. I've also attached some useful links below.
I've walked two Camino's this year, plus 200km on the Jakobsweg (in Germany), and I've survived so far.....
