Training for the PCT

Big T is making plans to hike the PCT starting July 2, 2024!

Sure is good to see you back. I also planned to run a half marathon in April but pulled a hamstring a week before the race. I have hiked the AT but can only dream about hiking the PCT. I will hike it vicariously through you. I will be following you all the way.

Hey Tommy, glad to see ya on a trails again!! Looking forward to your PCT Hike this year! Followed your entire AT Hike and I’m excited for you and hope you enjoy the trail!! The PCT looks beautiful... What works for one person, may not for you... plus the PCT goes thru a multitude of climates depending on the months.. I'd say be prepared to send home some items, and to have others shipped to you.. those River Crossings Roadrunner is going thru in the Sierra's are brutal... I take it that by starting when you are you avoid the snow fields and runoff ?

I think resupplies are a little more difficult on the PCT? What do you expect your pack weight to be? I’ll be watching your journey Big T. I would love to meet you someday!
