This is Freya, our new educational owl. She is about a year old now and is working on glove-training. We will eventually take her to schools and other programs to teach people about owls and their importance in our ecosystem. She was taken from her nest and illegally kept as a baby until she finally was seized and made her way to a rehabilitation center. Sadly, because she was not raised with other owls and hand-fed, she was suitable for release to the wild and we took her in as an educational ambassador.
Sarvey Wildlife Care Center is located in Arlington, WA and our main mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Release wildlife. We treat about 3000 patients annually.
