As a relatively new comp shooter, throttling back my cadence from short to long paper is still something I’m trying to embed. I’ve blown a more than a few stages by hosing everything at the same pace so for this drill , I’m listening to the timing adjustment that you’re making on your transitions. Also , not settling my grip and sight picture on my first shot is an ongoing issue . As I can only train at an indoor range , if I can get 2 stalls, I’d modify this drill by sticking 2 3” pasters as the steel on either side of a FS IPSC target in one lane and then placing another partial paper further away in the next. Doesn’t allow for any movement but works on the draw up and cadence change. I know I’ll never be as fast as u lol but gotta keep trying !

The key is to let your sight picture dictate your cadence. After each run, try to remember what each shot looked like. Start with a low round count drill and work to larger round counts.

Hi Isaac, your italian fan here, just for reference: distance beetween two poles? It’s a very good drill for training fast targets acquisition. Keep sharing, thank you

Approximately 10-15 yards. I don't typically have a set distance. Thank you for watching.

@@isaaclockwood1839 what is it called? Great videos by the way. Help me a lot & I watch you last year during Nationals when you did that stage where you carry that ammo can while shooting on the move.

Where can I get those barrier sticks? Genius. Easier than trying to set up walls.

I see nothing wrong with symmetrical practice even though real stages are sometimes not symmetrically constructed.
