Outstanding !! I'm 72 now. when I was a child and for many, many years people brought their new animals to our Farm for Dad to tame and train them. He could tame and train anything. The beauty of it. He never charged anyone to do it. It was His Love for Animals. That's where I got my Love for all GODS creatures. I too can still train animals even at my old age.. LOL..

You and miss Nellie are connecting ❣️ I used to have a wooden folding stool that I would take in the stall with the youngsters that hadn’t been handled much. I would set with the bucket between my knees and just let them come up. It usually didn’t take long before they were comfortably eating from it and touching my hands with their muzzle. And even sniffing my hair or nibbling at my shirt it Takes patience but you seem to have that 😊 getting their trust is so important. It’s so much easier to work with them. I miss my horses so much and I’m enjoying watching you and Nellie.

@@ggfarms9136 If you want, check out Our Brown Farmhouse and see what he(Neco) put in his "Goat Topia jungle gym. His is a little elaborate, but notice the tires he sunk in the ground.( I think filled with cement! I would put two together for a wider surface) There is a video on how he built it. He is a frugal guy so most of the materials are salvage. Something to not cost you hardly any money for the goats to have a playground! Just some ideas for the future! God Bless!

Learning trust is a two way street. I told her that I trust her not to pummel me in the ground when sitting so close and she can trust me to be patient and kind to her. So far I think our talk is working

Hello, Miss Katherine. I have just subscribed. I came from @Mrs. Cog Hill Farm and @Cog Hill Farm. I've watched several of your videos in the past and just kinda forgot to subscribe but I am so invested in Nellie's story that I just Had to subscribe so I can get notifications! ❤❤❤😊 I absolutely Love your gentle, pressure/release approach with her. She has So much potential in her but it's obvious that she has been let down by humans. Your approach with her is like a beautiful dance to earn her trust and prove to her that not all humans are bad or cannot be trusted. I don't own horses but the horse I rode as a youth came from an abusive background. I was only one of a select few who was allowed to ride her because she and I understood each other. When you can build that trust with an untrusting horse, it's magical. I can't wait to see what you two accomplish together!

That is a beautiful story. I have a similar story when I was a young girl. I named my horse Lucky. Because she was. Lucky and I shared many adventures together. Now Nellie will share those secrets with me. Happy New Year

"My" horse belonged to my aunt and uncle whom I adored. They saved Bucky (a beautiful buckskin AQHA mare) from an abusive home. They named her. I was a pure novice, but for some reason, they trusted me to ride her. She was so special. I showed her once in open class and took lessons on her with my aunt at the junior College during high school. I miss her but she has been gone for many years.

It's Bo the goat. He loves Dixie so much. Bo was my very first goat and he is about 10 years old. Dixie is his dog and Bo is her favorite goat.
