As a former arborist, I can tell you that hanging from a rope is exhausting. Add wind, subtract anything to put your feet on, and you're in for a balance/core strength marathon. I love when one guy pours tea for the other--not too macho to be polite, and they must end up like brothers after doing these hairy jobs.

It can be but have you tried using a seat?
@BluesyBor
@BluesyBor 2 ай бұрын
@@FalenAnjel2 that's true, there are tools to address most difficulties - seats to not overexhaust yourself while hanging (not to mention avoiding injuries), lanyard to stabilise your position, loops and steps (you can hang them on your ascender attached to the rope) to put your feet in. It all helps you in comfort and stability. But working on the trees you rarely hang in one place for long. Using this much hardware to stabilise yourself and get some comfort could easily double the time spent on the job, while in most of industrial climbing using this much hardware actually helps you make the job faster. I'm mostly working on telecoms, but I've done some trees in the past and this job is quite fast up there by itself, I guess there's more cleaning on the ground afterward. It all depends on the task.

This looks like an awesome career. I been seeing stuff like this on fb. But a lot of them looks like tech schools advertisements. I questioned if there were any companies that offered on the job training instead of those tech schools, I got a few responses from people in the field saying there's quite a few companies that do. Is there any people reading these comments that are in the field that can also confirm this?

Hello We provide Training-on-the-job on rotor blades usually to technicians we have trained basic and advanced skills first on ground. We conduct such training when we have our own repair assignments or for clients on their own projects. So, if you have already experience and skills please send us an e-mail to academy@bladecare.de with your request. Best regards Hans-Peter

@@rotorbladeexperts I actually have no experience at all in this field. I was a machinist for 18 years then office for 5 years. I'm wanting to make a career change into something more exciting, rewarding, and fulfilling. This always looked interesting to me. Thank you for for responding back to me. I appreciate it.
