If you're like me and you're doing the Ribbon Master challenge and would like to get max contest stats on your RM, you can do Gen 3 and Gen 4 contests with high-but-not-perfect stats and maxed sheen and then transfer your RM to Gen 6 (ORAS) and feed your RM unlimited Pokeblocks to max the contest stats. ORAS does not feature sheen so you can easily max contest stats in that game. Note that BDSP has sheen again so if you don't max your contest stats in ORAS it's going to be difficult (or impossible if your sheen is already maxed) to max them later.

I don't know if I commented before but I took it to make my ribbon masters have perfect stats in gen 3, using ruby, sapphire, emerald, and japanese emerald along with liechi and the colosseum berries. took a fuckton of time but it was so rewarding. Now I'm on gen 4 and almost done with it, and I'm a bit afraid of poffin making, but still will go for it to make a perfect Giratina.

I like how theoretically, the contest stat-meta is to just cheese it as much as possible. Anything you can catch in Gen 3: Pokeblocks, because Poffins after transfer will be harder Anything you catch until Gen 6 inclusive: ORAS, because there is no sheen-limiter Anything you want to use in BDSP: May as well not bother with Pokes caught after Gen 6 besides special cases, because all that are available here are legacy Pokemon that could have been given a free max-out(sans Sheen) in ORAS already. So basically, assuming no set of games is skipped, the only annoying parts as of right now are Gen 4 Pokes that you want to use in Gen 4.

Can't speak on RSE, or DPPt, but for BDSP, just use the extremely simple poffin recipes that Austin John Plays made a video on. I used those plus 1-2 extra poffins to max my Gardevoir's beauty (disliked flavor) plus some burnt poffins to max sheen, and it was pretty painless overall. The recipes use ONLY berries found in the overworld berry patches, so it's extremely accessible post-game, and the burnt poffins can just be made with any berries bought from the Berry Master's wife. Please, save yourself the horror and time sink that is growing berries or doing endless Grand Underground shenanigans for the Ramanas Park slates.

The Friend Ball is the one that sets initial friendship. The Luxury Ball does multiplier on friendship gained.

Why not using Charap the Chatot from the in-game trade in the Sinnoh titles? It has 20 in every Contest stat with 0 sheen, basically making it the only gen IV Pokémon able to reach the max in every stat (despite its nature).

Two-player blocks are only really useful as finishing touches if you have the Mt Battle berries. The spreadsheets in the description have sections for what to do with 1 or 2 systems

If it's above 96.57, that just means the stats will be even higher than you were planning for. There's no overflow mechanics or anything that would penalize you for the stats being too high.
