For those wondering, a Beeper, also known as a Pager, were small devices that had their own phone number that you used to "Page" someone and then the person would get the phone number of the person "Paging" them to call. Cell Phones were still uncommon during the early and mid 90's to the point you'd have to be a business bigshot to have one, so the beeper/pager, was the everyman's solution to getting a hold of someone who may not be at their phone, which sometimes had cords connecting the speaking/hearing piece to the rest of the machines.
