Wow, really!! I am seeing this after 16 yrs. When I was 16 that last time i had visited the lower Assam karimgunj & Tripura Agartala. I really miss my Native Land. I can say proudly that my NE states has some exquisite natural beauties and sceneries to see. It's just we need to promote more & more videos of this beauties. I still remember the yellow and green coach of the Kanchenjunga express starring from Howrah then and it's competition with double decker Black Diamond express till Bally station . Then it goes on chord and black was on main. It was the 1st train I travelled which went straight to Maldah from Rampurhat though stoppage was from Howrah then Bolpur then Malda. That train was majestic. Gives goosebumps as I recall.

Before this section was in meter gauge, I have traveled only one time in a meter gauge train and that was a night train journey from Silchar to Lumding on-board the Legendary Cachar Express The lights on the coaches were dim but beautiful enough to make that journey memorable. The night was black and the YDM 4 class locomotive was chugging very hard to climb the steep track and the LP was blowing that beautiful and magical twin tone horn on an remote part of the section luckily the night went and the next day arrived and the train reached its destination The Lumding junction at 8am on the morning A literary scary journey but beautiful enough to distract our mind , I wish I could travel another time in this section in meter gauge but, unfortunately in the year 2015 this section was closed because of gauge conversation I feel very sad that this meter gauge section was a part of Assam's history but now it's gone 😭
