Trains at Inverness Station | 13/05/21

After arriving on the Caledonian Sleeper in the morning I stopped at the station for a while to get some footage. Managed to catch the Sleeper set shunt out of the station and the loco's go off to the depot to be fuelled. As well as ScotRail HST's, 158's & 170's and a DRS 66 arriving with the "Tesco" train.
Notice there's no LNER "Highland Chieftain" service on this day. This was filmed during the mass disruption caused by the IET "Azuma" trains failing their safety checks for being cracked! Brand new trains, cracked & damaged already. So they were pulled from service & LNER cancelled all services north of Edinburgh while they had a reduced number of trains in action.
The last few shots in the video were taken at Aberdeen, it features a few more HST's sitting in the platforms and a couple of 158 units.

No wonder why the class 800/801/802s are regarded as the worst high speed train in the UK. Failed safety checks and cracks, which emphasises that the old trains were much more better and reliable.

Excellent yet again, off to Inv in July to do 3 selfish trips on my own, Inv-Plockton, Inv-Thurso then Inv - Inv via Dundee and Aberdeen. Shame someone cant lend me a stick-on Gopro to put on cabs!

A class 73 failed & they need 2 for the power up the highland mainline. So one to do the ETH & the 66 for the pulling power
