The class 390 called "Alison" made me chuckle. Class 195s brakes made me wince.

still a few trains in the old Northern livery. That 195 has serious brake issues with that squealing. Brilliant video thanks

@@dave1001 That's usually made by going round curved track or points... Could also be brakes as you say but I have heard that noise when trains are going slow out of a station over points.

Lol all those units stopping nice and quietly and the newest of the lot yet that racket sounds more like a class 101 from my childhood , just as the looks were growing on me it sounds as bad as a Pacer going through Stockport station 🙉

the northern class 319370 its pantograph looks very high compared to most electric trains on the WCML London to Scotland lines

Something to do with modern standards for the overhead line equipment; basically at stations the contact wire should be elevated wherever possible because of risk that tall objects passengers might be carrying (such as umbrellas and fishing lines) get too close for comfort....

Foreign crap? the majority of these trains (the 319's and the 158's) are british built, and the 195's/331's have to be built out of the uk due to all uk based companies having completely full orders from numerous TOC's
