Trains at Bristol Parkway, GWML - 9/7/19

Welcome to the latest episode of The Locals! Today I am at Bristol Parkway on the Great Western Main Line where services are seen by Great Western Railway and CrossCountry.
It was brilliant to return here, it has been a while since I last filmed at Bristol Parkway and a lot has changed since! This is another electrified station however only to and from London Paddington as anything towards South Wales remains to be diesel only but not for too much longer! The variety was good and I arrived at a time of the day where the variety would be at its best and it certainly did not disappoint. The views are great with nice curve views from the Swindon/Yate direction and a good view of the junction towards Patchway and straight track towards Temple Meads. The station overall was fantastic to film at again and I would strongly recommend it!

Newquay came into mind as soon as the question came, but I think that Torquay, Paignton and Aberdeen are also valid answers.

I remember catching one of those great western railway from Bristol parkway to port Talbot and it was a nice train and I was in first class and the first train was a cross country going to Bristol temple meads and I got off at Bristol parkway .😀

That’s easy Torquay Dawlish Penzance I don’t know 🤔 Paignton Should be Liskeard Bodmin Parkway Par Newquay St Austell Truro Redruth Camborne Hayle and St Earth not sure for Cornish line stations.

They making a new livery they currently painting it on turbostars they made a future picture of new livery on voyagers and they look awful.
