I love your video mate there so entertaining and seeing the trains in there old livery bring back happy memories I remember them being in there NEXEC and virgin trains livery cuz I went on 1 from Derby to Doncaster on a VT voyager and they where giving out bags of board games and also went on a GNER hst from Edinburgh to Doncaster this was back in I think 2004 and 5

Thanks very much for your kind words, I must admit it is nice going back through some of the older things that I've done just to see how much the railway has changed in such a short space of time. I remember very well the GNER livery and the Valenta engines that were installed inside the HST's at the time. Seems strange that it was so long ago and yet the memories are still crystal clear

@@Tornado922 I know yeah it's such a shame they had to take the engines out of them cuz almost every trainspotter used to love hearing the scream of a vp185 valenta but because they no longer exist the rail network has now died down abit expect from we've got the EMR hsts and not forgetting the amazing freightliner class 70s and class 68s

It is a good station, very well sheltered from the elements. although you would probably want to spend more time here than I did to get a proper feel for the place and get a more varied amount of services

Fact: Darlington is the only uk national rail station with a flyover. my great aunty (my granddads sister) lives in Darlington so my granddad was asking me about trains to Darlington and I told him that he had to change at London (he lives in Witham) and he thought the train to Darlington went from Euston!
