Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Dundee located on the Edinburgh to Aberdeen Line and junction for the Glasgow to Aberdeen Line where services are seen by ScotRail and LNER.
Dundee is a very different station with a strange looking platform layout, however the station itself is still very good. The variety on show was as to be expected with the typical diesel stuff you'd now see in Dundee as well as LNER making a couple of appearances throughout. The canopy looks rather nice and covers over the majority of the station and the view going towards Edinburgh is simply incredible since you can see approaching and departing trains cross over the Tay Bridge. The station is also on a tight curve going out towards Arbroath which is different and again, you enter a tunnel as soon as you leave. Overall, a fantastic visit to Dundee, one that has been so long overdue it's unreal! Highly recommended station.
