Trains at Eastleigh, SWML - 5th May 2021

On today's video I went down to one of the bestest location on South Western Mainline, which is Eastleigh.
​it's great to be back down there again, it's been quite a while since I been filmed here, which was around 2019. There has been number of changes for past year,. Traffic has been not so busy since my last visit, you have now Cross Country service that runs their Bournemouth - Manchester every 2 hours and is now formed 8 to 9 coaches. SWR has suspended London Waterloo - Poole services, and it's only Portsmouth Harbour - London Waterloo that makes additional stop at Shawford which is every hour. And still have SWR passing through 1 London Waterloo - Bournemouth service that runs hourly. And there are plenty of freight action.
Station has 4 section track diagrams, got one going to Southampton, Bournemouth, other to Botley & Fareham, Chandlers Ford & Salisbury, and then Winchester & Basingstoke!
Station it's self has still got a lot of character to it, as you got the sidings where all the 66 are stabled and trucks etc, so it's definitely worth a visit.
In this video you will see many variety of trains, which are SWR 158, 450 & 444, 1 Southern 377, Cross Country Trains 220 & 221 and Freights Class 66.

Great video. At a grear location. I'm starying to realise how lifeless the new South Western livery is compared to the vibrant blues, reds, orange and white of the old livery. Intresting to see yhe crew change of the freight trains which stopped at the playforms.

How come the up fast are no where near hitting the speed of the down fast services?
