That shot of the K set coming around the curve was to die for. Well filmed!

This is one of only 4 places in Sydney where, the end of the line is actually as far as the line goes, everywhere else it continues on to somewhere else

No worries. I'm still surprised about the amount of S Sets I saw here.

The S sets have "roll and tumble" seat like Philly's Silverliner II/IIIs :) Now that sort of at home feeling :)
@ThebusofdoomFSX9 жыл бұрын
I trust that the 'roll & tumble' seats in the Silverliner 2's & 3's were actually comfortable to sit on? ;)
@CaseysTrains9 жыл бұрын
Eeee, they were very hard and kind of showing their age. Some of them rusted so bad they couldn't tumble anymore. The Airport Silverliner IIIs had more softer seats. (Which were also roll and tumble.)

Wow in 2013 and 2014 S sets were getting extremely rare. Nearly there was none running by late 2014 but since 2015 they have started to become alot common and even after the SWRL opened

Why are there 4 platforms? Are there trains that arrive every 5 minutes in peak, and then stay for 15 minutes?
@ThebusofdoomFSX8 жыл бұрын
I assume that part of the reason is so not in service trains can efficiently overtake trains that have terminated on the platform. There's a stabling yard at Rossmore further west of the station which has the capacity to fit up to 20 trains.

What is the tracks beyond leppington?
@ThebusofdoomFSX5 жыл бұрын
The tracks go to the stabling yards at Rossmore, although it does allow for future extension of the line if needed. There's talk of extending the line to the future airport at Badgerys Creek if needed.
