Liverpool Central is a key interchange station for Merseyrail services, located at the junction of the Wirral and Northern lines. It's Class 507 and 508 "PEP" heaven here, and among the last areas in the UK with a regular service of these iconic, yet ageing units. However this is subject to change in the near future with the delivery of the Class 777 units by Stadler (I don't know which I prefer more, PEPs or a Stadler!)
Anyway, Liverpool Central is definitely worth a visit, although I can imagine it would be quite busy during the peaks or post-COVID. Get your visit in soon, the 507s and 508s won't be around much longer with Merseyrail!
My next video will be a journey on Southeastern's game-changing Class 707 "City Beam" units, from London Bridge to New Cross.
Enjoy the video!
