Hello guys!! Welcome back to another video and in this video I am at Penzance which is located at the very end of the Great Western Mainline and is the most westerly station in the UK! In this video you will see services operated by Great Western Railway only as well as railtours operated by Pathfinder and LSL

This station is probably not the most exciting in terms of frequency really and definitely doesnt have the same atmosphere as it did when there were 3 or 4 HSTs sat in the platforms however railtours terminate here alot and its a great place to see and photograph railtours. This video was cut a bit short as the staff closed the platforms due to 'overcrowding' which only happened as a result of them closing the gates. Overall, on a normal timetable maybe only come here if you are after the maximum variety (around 7-9am) or if theres something special

Superb footage of the railtours and castle set Jacob, it brought back memoirs of holidays I had in the late 70s of class fifty's all around the station. I hope you did a part two of the tours departing Penzance, Cheers Mike.

Cheers Mike!! They mustve been good times haha! Unfortunately on that front, due to crowding the station was shut untill trains were due to leave. I did catch both railtours through my local at Plymouth the 50s actually failed which I caught on camera and the 47s thrashed through - they will come out at my railtour compilation at the end of the yeae

Thanks Sion!! There is a 15 mph speed limit when starting at Penzance so you hardly need to use above notch 4 of power for the HST
